Furthermore, KHHI looks deeper into its social responsibilities and takes one step further to enhance the quality of life of its local community and society at large. We have come to an age where philanthropy is an inevitable part of business, but we at KHHI believe in touching lives of others with care and compassion more so we take our corporate social responsibility heartily and relentlessly aim towards helping and developing our fellow citizens and thus the whole country.
KHHI started its CSR with signing an Agreement with Baby Life Home on the 28th of July 2013.
Safalta HIV Shikshya Sadan(SSS) / Baby Life Home(BLH)
Some of the Children of BLH
Safalta HIV Shikshya Sadan is the name of the project of Baby Life Home, a shelter home for HIV infected children. Baby Life Home is the only home in Nepal that has taken the responsibility of taking care of children with HIV. They are given food, shelter, clothing, medical treatment, education etc and more importantly acceptance, love and care and respect which they are deprived of in their own community, and above all the will power to endure in life.
Almost all of these children have lost either both or one of their parents due to HIV. They were left alone or with their siblings to survive on their own. Most of them were malnourished; psychologically disturbed and depressed when they were brought to BLH. But now, they are healthy, going to school and enjoying their childhood, though off course for them it is always a constant battle for they have to fight with HIV.
BLH works to direct a bright future for such children. They do not have regular funding from either government or any other organizations. It survives with the charity and donations from some individuals. They were lately recognized as one of the best shelter homes and were awarded NCRs 50,000 from the Central Child Federation Commitee Pulchwok, Nepal.
Founders of Safalta HIV Shikshya Sadan(SSS) / Baby Life Home(BLH)
The Chairman and the Vice –Chairperson have sacrificed what most of us cannot even think of to make this shelter home a living paradise for these children. We honor them with all our heart and deeply praise their commendable act and at the same time we take extreme pride and pleasure to joining hands with them to keep the smile in these childrens' face forever.
